Spotlight Series and Visit Rome, Wisconsin would like to invite you to a special outdoor listening room event An Evening with Monty Criswell featuring 2-time GRAMMY-nominated songwriter, author and cancer survivor Monty Criswell! This event will serve as both a preview and our official kickoff for Spotlight Series 2027, where we’ll announce our incredible songwriters for the annual series taking place February 18-20! We have a limited number of VIP reserved seats right near the stage where chairs will be provided, as well as two complimentary drink tickets. Additional perks may be added in coordination with our headliner. General admission tickets for this show will be FREE - but you must bring your own chair and we ask that you sit close to the stage in the designated sections. Listening room shows are best received when you’re close and engaged. If you’ve been to the Spotlight Series in the past, or have visited a place like The Bluebird Cafe or The Listening Room in Nashville, you already get it. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 This show gives us an opportunity to connect with one of our bucket list songwriters, while also kicking off the promotional cycle for the 2027 series! During this show, we will be announcing our two songwriters that will headline and open ticket sales to the public. Trust me, you do not want to miss this! 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐘 𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐋 Monty Criswell is a ACM, CMA, Dove, Canadian CMA and People’s Choice Awards nominee along with being a 2-time GRAMMY nominee for Country Song of the Year (“I Saw God Today” and “Just Fishin’”). “I Saw God Today” was awarded CMA Single of the Year in 2008. His songs have been featured on ESPN, ABC, NBC, CBS, the SEC Network, the Hallmark Channel, Netflix, and the hit TV series Yellowstone. Monty’s had hundreds of songs recorded over the span of his thirty-two-year career as a full-time songwriter, having at least one number one in each of the last three decades. Singles and hits include “Loving Every Minute” (Mark Wills), “Tough” (Craig Morgan), “Like Jesus Does” and “Hell of a View” (Eric Church), “I Saw God Today” (George Strait), “Just Fishin’” and “Semper Fi” (Trace Adkins), “Five More Minutes” and “Fall of Summer” (Scotty McCreery), “Makin’ Me Look Good Again” (Drake White), “Bottle Rockets” (Scotty McCreery with Hootie & the Blowfish), “Country’d Look Good on You" (Frank Ray), “Paper Umbrellas” (Tim McGraw), “One to Willie” (Riley Green), “Coconut Tree” (Kenny Chesney), and “Handle on You” and “Killin’ Me” (Parker McCollum), among others.
